PRRD receives DSWD Responders Go Bag
News March 15, 2017, 0 Comment 0Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Judy M. Taguiwalo on Monday, March 13, turned over a DSWD Responders Go Bag to President Rodrigo R. Duterte shortly after the adjournment of the en banc meeting of the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) at the Heroes Hall in Malacanang.
Go bags are personal emergency supplies needed for survival during disasters or any emergency situations. It contains essential items such as medicines, first aid kits, whistle, emergency lights, safe drinking water, food, mask, raincoat, and other important items needed for emergency survival.
“Dahil mahalaga ang kahandaan at kaligtasan, kailangang may nakahandang kagamitan para sa emergencies (Because preparedness and safety is important, emergency items must always be ready),” said the Secretary.
“Aming pong hinihikayat ang publiko na magkaroon ng mga go bags na naglalaman ng mga emergency supplies na kakailanganin ng kanilang pamilya upang maging handa sa anu mang darating na sakuna (We encourage the public to have their own go bags which contain emergency supplies needed by their family so that they can be ready for any possible calamity), added Sec. Taguiwalo. ###
