Following the incident where the Twitter account, @dswdserves, of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) was accidentally used by a staff to tweet a personal post, the Department has reiterated its policy on the use of the agency’s social media platform to all its employees.

Moreover, the Department expressed its apologies for this unfortunate incident and has already called the attention of the concerned employee.

DSWD assures the public that such incident will not be repeated and the agency’s social media accounts will be used for its sole purpose of promoting and advocating the Department’s programs and services. -30-
