The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Field Offices (FOs), continues to coordinate with concerned local government units (LGUs) to determine the needs of families who are still reeling from the effects of Tropical Storm Falcon which made a landfall in Gattaran, Cagayan on July 16 and left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on July 18.

Based on the July 20, 5PM report of DSWD Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB), some P706,215.50 worth of relief assistance have been provided to affected families from the combined resources of DSWD, LGUs, and partners.

As of press time, 19 families or 95 persons are still staying in 18 evacuation centers in CAR and Region II.

The DSWD is assuring the public that it will remain on alert status to assist LGUs in relief operations and management of evacuation centers, when needed. -30-
